Spindle measuring machines

Spindle measuring machines with rotating scanning system are superior to measuring instruments with a rotary table when the workpieces are heavy and non-rotation-symmetrical and a high degree of automation is necessary.

Spindle measuring machines are also used when measurements need to be made at different positions in the X-Y plane and the measured values related to each other.

Typical applications are for example:

  • cylinder heads 

  •  cylinder blocks

Performance characteristics:

  • air bearing, manually movable X-Y table
  • maximum load capacity of 300 kg
  • fast, automatic centring and levelling
  • three motorised measuring axes for CNC-controlled measurement runs 
  • measurement length Z axis 6210 = 900 mm, 6220 = 1300 mm
  • all  axes on air bearing and wear-free
  • measuring spindle with automatic weight compensation
  • additional relative adjustment in the R axis for large test diameter
  •  ST 200 active on both sides
